Biggest Shopping Center in SEA

Dear Little Bulldog,
I have posted enough of the food which I some time feel guilty to eat. Perhaps I should post something else...
The expo that I went, has this Mall of Asia, just next to it. It is suppose to be the world third largest mall, and the largest in SEA. The Philippines malls always put up a security check at the entrance, and caused a long queue during peak hours.b I was there during a Saturday, and there were crowded with people. This mall is situated next to the Bay of Manila, and has a good sea view.
Apart from having an Olympic sized ice skating rink, it is very much the same as malls everywhere in the world (it is indeed huge though).

Lechon, Adobo, Chop Suey...what's that?

Dear Little Bulldog,
Good to be back home after a long trip!
Since you are such a good boy, I will teach you some new vocabulary that I learn in the Philippines.
Follow read after me ... Lechon, Adobo, Chop Suey.
SJ and RM brought me out for dinner in one of the Pinoy restaurant in Megamall. (Pinoy means Filipinos or of the Philippines). They have ordered some signature Pinoy dish for me.
1) Lechon - roast pork. Taste like the german pork knuckle
2) Adobo - Some kind of pork stew. Very much like the chinese dish where pork and black fungus is cook together
3) Chop Suey - Mixed vegetable
These are very delicious food, except that there used too much pork. I have made a point of avoiding pork, beef and mutton in my diet. I just think that we can still survive very well by sparing their lives. Vegetable, fish and seafood will always be my preferred choice.
I hope you can be vegetarian too, but I guess as a wolf descendant, you will have to survive on meat. Adam's descendant has no excuse though.

KFC, Philippines Style

Dear Little Bulldog,
You should be relieved by now to know that I was telling you the truth about your potential replacement. No new puppy arrived yesterday...
On my way to meet a potential customer, we dropped by at a R&R to have quick lunch at KFC. It seems that I always have to eat in KFC whenever I am out of Singapore. Beijing, Sri Sinar, and now Manila.
However, it has proven to be a very decent meal. Instead of the usual potato, they served the chicken with spaghetti or white rice. I had the spaghetti, and it was really quite good. Even better than the spaghetti restaurant I went on Wednesday night. I guessed I am really bored, taking pictures on what I was eating. I now understand why so many blogs post their food pictures. There are so many bored people around, and unfortunately I have become one of them...I hope I will do better...

Go Manila eat Vanilla

Dear Little Bulldog,
You should be having your dinner a little late tonight. YC has gone to your previous home with her colleague to view some puppies. Don't worry, she is not getting another puppy, its for her colleague's son. You are irreplaceable !
I have not eaten any vanilla ice cream since I arrived Manila. It just sound rhyme, so I put it as my title.
Food has not been too fantastic here. I walked to Mall of Asia (the world 3rd largest shopping center) for lunch, and had this tuna steak. It looks like beef steak or pork chop, but it is fish. Come served with white rice and some vege. Not much taste on the tuna. But I finished it anyway...
Had an early off from the expo, and head back to hotel. Again, feeling lonely and have nothing to do, I decided to go for a one-man dinner at the hotel. Ordered this mixed seafood (lapu-lapu fish, shrimps, mussels, squids, white shell) dish. Come served with rice. Given some bread with balsamic vinegar (but no vinegar taste at all). The seafood dish is ok, tomato sauce is quite good. But I can have the same dish in mixed rice stall back home, charging half the price. Not really what I expect from a restaurant. But I finished it anyway...

6 Nights in Manila

Dear Little Bulldog,
Will not be seeing you for 6 days, will be missing you greatly.
I arrived in Manila yesterday evening, and checked into this Linden Suites. It is a big suites! Even bigger than my home. It has a big living room with a big dining table. Two bedrooms and a kitchen. Good for 4 persons to stay in.
But it really does not feel too nice, probably too big. I will just stick with a normal room next time. Nothing beat being at home though. As I am writing this, the room is so quiet and I am alone. Its boring and lonely...A Home does not consider how big or lavish it is, it is the people that is in it. I truly feel it right now.
